Meet Dr. Melanie Patterson (Camden, TN)

Melanie Mae Patterson, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

She spent several years working at River Valley Eye Clinic and Camden Eye Care Associates, where she developed a deep love for eye care before moving to Pikeville, KY. While at Kentucky College of Optometry, she served as President of the Cornea & Contact Lens Society.

She was selected among her peers to present a research poster at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas. Dr. Patterson is passionate about rural eye care, and interested in treating ocular surface diseases and specialty contact lens fitting.

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Patterson enjoys exploring the outdoors and traveling.
